JamaicanCoffeeClub’s® world-famous Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee has had the admiration of coffee connoisseurs throughout the world for hundreds of years! Shipments of Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee started in the early 1800s commanding premiums of several thousand English pounds per ton. Our coffee is licensed and certified by the government’s Jamaica Agricultural Commodities Regulatory Authority (JACRA).Coffee connoisseurs have agreed that our coffee integrates a uniquely balanced flavor and an exotic and intense aroma, with an intricate range of flavor notes, including subtle hints of herbs, spices, and chocolate. This exotic coffee is only grown high in an official government-limited area in the beautiful mist-covered Blue Mountains of Jamaica (check out the map on the Home page). The micro-climate of the Blue Mountains, with its balance of filtered sunshine and shade, pure air, rich, volcanic–based soil, unique rainfall distribution, and the surrounding flora and cool temperatures, offers superb conditions for the slow maturation of the coffee cherries. This slow maturation stimulates the development of the flavor-enhancing compounds that contribute to the mellowness of our coffee.
As with the finest handcrafted items globally, the care and processing of our coffee is carried out by skilled artisans. The farmers carefully select only bright–red berries. The red, soft outer skin is removed, and the beans are dried, stored, and cured in jute sacks for no less than eight weeks. They are then transported to our government-certified processing facilities.
The beans are then hulled, polished, sized, and hand-sorted by artisans skilled in selecting perfect beans. This hand-sorting technique is the linchpin of JamaicanCoffeeClub’s® fair-trade Jamaican Blue Mountain® coffee. Our coffee is vacuum hand-sealed after roasting, packaged in our specially designed decorative sacks, and shipped quickly and directly in small quantities to our Distribution Center in South Florida. Your order is then quickly shipped to you by USPS Priority Mail. We specialize in shipping to any US Armed Forces address in the world.
